The Standard Maldives is a fabulous 5-star resort which is perfect for couples or families.
All the villas have a private plunge pool and are very spacious and private. If travelling as a family the villas can accommodate 2 adults plus 2 children (below 12 years). The children sleep on fixed day beds.
The beds are king-size and comfortable and you have all the standard amenities in the room and bathroom. Indoor slippers and really lovely lightweight, cool bath robes (these can be purchased for 50USD).
You have a well-stocked mini-bar (chargeable) which includes a variety of soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and savoury snacks.
2 large bottles of sparkling and still water are provided complimentary in the villa with tea and coffee.

The Main Restaurant (Kula) is a buffet Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner but the BBQ Shak and Guduguda, which is the first Maldivian Restaurant in a resort are both well worth a visit. The food in both of these restaurants was delicious with a great choice.
Kula serves different themed buffets and the Chef is very accommodating when it comes to dietary requirements.
There are plenty of activities available, including motorized and non-motorized water sports, diving, snorkelling, tennis and yoga and a well-equipped gym.
The Spa is stunning, complete with an outdoor relaxation area, juice bar and Hammam.
Regular entertainment is arranged, including DJ nights in the overwater bar, complete with a large glass panel dance floor.
Movie night on the beach and Karaoke nights.
The little ones will be well taken care of in the Lil Sharks Kids Club with regular daily activities to keep them entertained.
