Koamas Trip to Emerald Maldives Resort

What a great honour it was to visit this fantastic new resort, located in RAA Atoll.

Having visited so many new openings over the years, it was truly wonderful to find a resort newly opened, with lovely vegetation and not a workman in sight.  No sign of work still taking place, which is very unusual when a resort first opens.

A wonderful warm greeting from the Management with a welcome glass of bubbles on arrival.

The domestic flight was around 25 minutes, followed by a 35-minute speedboat ride.  I think given the choice I would opt for the seaplane flight, depending on your international arrival and departure flights.

The rooms are spacious and modern and the interiors are luxurious.  A huge air-conditioned luxury bathroom, complete with indoor rain shower and bathtub.   Two additional outdoor showers, one in a small private garden area of the bathroom and the other at the front of the villa to wash off the sand from the beach.

A lot of natural bamboos has been used around the resort, including as part of the exterior of the villas, which are unique and really lovely.

Bamboo has also been used around the resort in the landscaping which is stunning with some beautiful flowers not only in the landscape but growing on the exterior of some of the water villas.

The dine-around all-inclusive meal plan allows guests to dine in all the outlets.  The Aqua Restaurant is the main restaurant (buffet) for breakfast, lunch & dinner, serving international cuisine, with live cooking stations.

The Amazonico Restaurant is the first of its kind in the Maldives, serving South American cuisine.

The Beach Grill Restaurant serves delicious pizzas, steaks and seafood, with tables set out on the beach.

Le Asiatique Restaurant offers a taste of Asia and has an authentic Asian feel, with two Tapenyaki stations.

For those active guests, they have two tennis courts, a paddle court and a five a side football pitch as well as a well-equipped gym.

The kids can have hours of fun in the Kids Club, which has to be one of the biggest in the Maldives.  Plenty of indoor and outdoor space and plenty of activities and attractions to keep them busy.

The resort has a lively atmosphere, with regular DJ nights.

The staff are very experienced, with many coming from other well-known resorts in the Maldives.   The service was excellent, especially in the restaurants and the staff were all friendly, helpful and professional.

In my opinion, one of the best openings I have experienced in the Maldives, in terms of facilities open and ready and the service given.  It is new and they still have somethings they are waiting for and they need to build on their team of employees, but a fabulous first impression and I have no hesitation in recommending this resort to couples or families looking for all-inclusive, luxury at an affordable price.

Thank you to Mr Srikanth (GM) and your great team for a wonderful experience.  Keep up the good work and growing from strength to strength.
