The Bonthi Bar, on the beach beside the Funama Restaurant, with satellite TV coverage of international sporting events and a Disco. There is also outdoor seating on a wooden deck. Hours: 24 hours

Boashi Bar
Located beside the Boashi Bar Pool, at the eastern end of the island. Hours: 1000-2000

Sunset Bar
Beside the Ahima Restaurant and Sunset Pool, designated for guests of 18 years and older... the best view of the sunset with a choice of seating, either inside, on the pool decks or beach. Hours: 1000-2300

Snorkeling Boat Trip
Experience the underwater wonderland, transported by Dhoni to a nearby coral reef. Rent snorkelling equipment from the Dive Center or purchase it from the Gift Shop. Remember not to touch the coral or any other marine creatures! It is illegal to collect live shells or coral. For swimmers only. Non-swimmers are not allowed. Minimum age is 12. A child under 16 must be accompanied by a parent.

Sunset 'Punch' Cruise
Enjoy a late afternoon boat trip on a local Dhoni while watching a beautiful tropical sunset, with a glass of special punch in hand and if you're lucky, some dolphins may join in the fun! A child under 16 must be accompanied by a parent.

Vilamendhoo provides a variety of sports facilities including a Fitness Center, Volleyball Court, Badminton, Petanque, Snooker, Table Tennis, Mahjong Table, Billiards, Darts, Football Grounds, Swimming Pool and a Children's Pool.

In addition to snorkelling and diving, there is a variety of other water sports equipment to enjoy including windsurfing, catamaran and kayak. Equipment can be rented and lessons can be booked at the Water Sports Center.

Water Sports services are subject to availability and weather conditions. Damage, loss, etc, to the equipment will be charged to the guest at repair or replacement value. Guests may not use any water sports equipment without prior approval from the Water Sports Center staff.

The Maldives are beautiful coral islands surrounded by living reef, 26 Atolls in the middle
of the Indian Ocean. Water temperature is warm (26 - 30 degrees Celsius) and varies with depth (0 - 30 meters).

Coral is fragile and grows very slowly, about 2.5 cm per year, so to avoid damage, do not touch or step on it. In 1998, the extraordinarily warm waters of El Nino passed throughout the oceans, including the Maldives.­The high temperature killed much coral, resulting in its bleached appearance. Now, the coral is growing, again, and we hope this continues so that in the future, it will be as magnificent as it was in the past.

The reef around Vilamendhoo is spectacular and very close to the beach.
It is a wonderful experience to see the reef and its marine life while snorkelling.

To go to the reef, simply walk into the water and snorkel to the inside of the reef. Snorkel through any of the 10 “channels” through the reef to reach the outside of the reef, along with the “wall". Snorkel along the reef, in the direction against the current, as there is always some current, sometimes strong.­ If the current is too strong for your experience or comfort, then return inside the reef and return to the beach. When done snorkelling, return through any of the 10 “channels” through the reef to reach the beach.
