Kagi is a small boutique adult-only resort (12 years +) located on the out edge of North Male Atoll.
The transfers are either by speedboat – 1 hour on a good day but during low season and rough weather this can take over 90 minutes. The second option is the seaplane which takes 20 minutes. As the supplement isn’t that great if you have daytime international flights I would suggest seaplane transfers.
The seaplane platform is not on Kagi but on the nearby Jumeriah resort (10 minutes). This is nice because then the serenity of the resort atmosphere is not spoilt by the noise of seaplanes landing and taking off.
The resort comprises 50 villas all with a private plunge pool.
Lagoon and Ocean Water Villas with pools as well as Beach Villas with pools.
It doesn’t have the largest of beaches as it is only a small island and being made-made breakers walls are around the island to protect the beach.
The resort is all about Wellness and Relaxation and I definitely felt very relaxed at the resort.
The Spa offers a healthy lunchtime menu which I highly recommend.
The main restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and dinner and there is plenty of choices. Lunch is al a carte.
There is two other al a carte options for dinner. The Asian restaurant and the Italian restaurant. I dined in the Asian and the food was delicious.
Euro-Divers operate the dive school and the water sports centre. The resort only offers non-motorized water sports.
The resort boasts a wonderful house reef so snorkellers will be happy!
The staff are all friendly and accommodating and the Head Chef is Italian.
Overall a beautiful boutique resort, for those looking for peace and serenity.
