The Maldives are commonly referred to as the Atolls of Enchantment.
The Maldives is one of the most popular and best diving destinations in the world and all our resorts have fully equipped PADI certified Dive schools offering a full range of services, including ´Bubble Makers for children´ Discover Scuba Courses, Open Water Dive Courses, with additional advance courses. For qualified divers there are Nitrox courses and Dive Master courses.
In addition to the beautiful coral reefs, the Maldives have an abundance of marine life throughout the country that sets it apart from other dive destinations.
In the channels, divers can explore caves, caverns and overhangs where soft corals proliferate, and colourful sponges, invertebrates and gorgonian fans all profiting from the nutrient-rich water. There are also plenty of cleaning stations where cleaning wrasses and shrimps service the larger marine species.
Inside the atoll lagoons you often find pinnacles of rock vaulting up almost to the surface. They are known locally as ´Thilas´.
Whale Sharks, Manta Wrays, Hammer Head Sharks, White Tip Sharks, Black Tip Sharks, Dolphins, Turtles, Sweet Lips, Napolean Wrasse, Parrotfish, Snappers and Jacks are just some of marine life you may be lucky enough to encounter in the Maldives.
